Basics of the Baha’i Faith

Basics of the Baha’i Faith was written and recorded by Darius Shahrokh  in 1994.   He dedicated this book to the hundreds of recent Baha’i martyrs in Iran, and especially to the memory of two who were Dr. Shahrokh’s early Baha’i teachers.  Mrs. Bahiyyih Khanum Nadiri and Professor Manuchihr Hakim.  Mrs. Nadiri taught Dr. Shahrokh about the Baha’i Faith while he was a young boy in Tehran.   Professor Hakim  taught Darius while he was attending the Tehran Medical School.  Both were members of the National Spiritual Assembly of the Baha’is of Iran.  Both were martyred in 1980 by the current regime.

This 2 hour audio book briefly covers 60 basic subjects, giving the listener a sketch of the Baha’i Faith.  This is an exceptionally clear summary of the Baha’i Faith, and is especially wonderful for those wanting a framework as they study the teachings of Baha’u’llah.  A copy of the 38 page book (available as a free .pdf file  download) makes a wonderful handout for those for teaching classes to Baha’i Youth and new Baha’is.  It can be easily printed at home on the front and back of 20 pieces of letter size paper.
